1. Data controller
The controller of personal data collected on bielawski.pro is Bartosz Bielawski. For any matters concerning personal data, write to [email protected].
2. What data we collect and why
Newsletter list
The newsletter has not started yet. At this stage we only collect the addresses of people who want to receive it. We plan a weekly summary (no more than once a week) and will email you when it starts.
When you sign up, you provide: your email address, optionally your name, the language version of the site (Polish or English), the date of sign-up and of confirmation, the page you signed up from and the source of your visit (e.g. campaign parameters). Your approximate location (country) may be derived from your IP address.
Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Sign-up must be confirmed via a link sent to the address you provide.
Reader account
When you join, you also create an account you sign in to with a link or code sent by email (no password). The account lets you comment on posts - comments are public, together with the name you provide. We process your email address, name and comments for this purpose. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time and keep your account; to have your account deleted, write to the address above. Legal basis: providing the service you request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Visit statistics
We use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand which content is read. These tools use cookies and run only after you consent in the cookie banner. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Operation and security
The server and Cloudflare (site protection and acceleration) process technical connection data, including your IP address, to keep the site running and protected from attacks. Legal basis: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
3. Recipients
Data may be shared with providers of technical services: the server provider, Cloudflare, Inc. and Google Ireland Ltd. (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager). Some of them may process data outside the European Economic Area on the basis of the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
We do not use an external newsletter sending service yet. When we choose one, we will update this policy and inform subscribers before the first send.
4. How long we keep data
Newsletter list and account data are kept until you withdraw consent or delete your account. Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months. Technical server and Cloudflare data is kept as long as needed for security.
5. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. You can withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal: via the link in an email, in your account settings or by writing to the address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych).
6. Cookies
The site uses cookies necessary for it to work (e.g. keeping you signed in) and, with your consent, Google Analytics cookies. You can change your consent to analytics cookies in the cookie banner or in your browser settings.
7. Voluntary provision
Providing data is voluntary. Without an email address you cannot join the newsletter list or create an account.
8. Changes
We may change this policy, e.g. after choosing a newsletter sending service. The current version is always available on this page, and we will inform subscribers of significant changes.
